It's Time For Bailey Days!
The Bailey Days Committee in conjunction with the Platte Canyon Area Chamber is excited to announce that Bailey Days 2025 will take place on June 28th and 29th.This year, the event location will be moving to the back property of Glen Isle Resort. So why are we moving the location? Over the past few years, as our beloved Bailey Days event continued to grow, we've faced ongoing challenges with Hwy 285, pedestrian safety, and traffic congestion. After extensive conversations with CDOT and Park County, we've decided to relocate the event away from downtown and Hwy 285 to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for all. In addition, while we all love the community event, for many of our local businesses the event congestion has impeded their ability to operate effectively for regular customers affecting their revenue.
The move to Glen Isle's back property provides a beautiful new location with great views and will significantly reduce congestion on Hwy 285. While there will be designated handicap parking at the event site, shuttles will transport attendees from designated parking lots around town to the event entrance via the back entrance to Glen Isle from Hwy 64, ensuring a smoother and more efficient traffic experience.
Bailey Days 2025 Location
The new event space at the back of Glen Isle’s property borders national forest and offers acres of scenic beauty and a safer venue that will allow for a more controlled event experience without impacting the highway. At Glen Isle, we will be able to integrate all aspects of the event—from the kids' zone to live music and vendors—all in one space.
For the people who immediately envision the small bridge off 285 to the Glen Isle Lodge, that is NOT the area that has been discussed. The site is what Glen Isle has named Tripp's Meadow on the back property of their 160 acres bordering national forest land.
Still Have Questions?
For any general Bailey Days questions (other than Vendor, Sponsor and Volunteer questions) contact us.
The Bailey Days Committee has looked at your comments and have heard you. So we came up with this FAQ.
Designated parking areas will be available, with handicap-accessible parking located on-site at the event venue. All other attendees will be transported via shuttle service from designated parking areas to the event entrance. While we are still finalizing all parking locations, one confirmed site is Platte Canyon High School, and we are working to establish parking areas on both sides of Bailey.
As with many festivals, sporting events, and concerts, shuttles will play a key role in managing transportation efficiently. Events such as the Renaissance Festival and the Stock Show successfully utilize similar systems to ensure smooth and safe access for attendees.
Local businesses are encouraged to participate in whatever way best suits them. Some are planning sidewalk sales, while others will host special events to attract visitors. Businesses also have the option to set up as festival vendors, allowing them to engage directly with attendees.
In previous years, when Bailey Days was held downtown, some businesses experienced challenges, including increased shoplifting and difficulties drawing customers into their stores. By relocating the festival, businesses can maintain their regular customer flow, on an invaluable summer weekend, while still benefiting from visitors who choose to explore downtown before or after the event.
The primary reason for relocating Bailey Days is safety. The new venue provides a secure environment for both attendees and vendors, away from the high-traffic areas of Highway 285.
The Sheriff’s Department, CDOT, and State Patrol have all expressed growing concerns about the risks associated with blocking traffic and allowing pedestrian crossings on Hwy 285. These concerns made it increasingly difficult to obtain necessary permits. The relocation is not just a logistical decision—it is an essential step in ensuring the safety of all participants while preserving the future of Bailey Days.
Glen Isle provides 160 acres of space, offering ample room for festival activities. The event will not take place in the well-known lodge area but rather in Tripp’s Meadow, near the wedding venue and disc golf course, accessible from Hwy 64.
Parking & Accessibility:
Bailey Days will continue to honor its name, as Glen Isle is a longstanding part of the Bailey community, dating back to 1901.
A marketing and signage plan is in place to ensure strong visibility for the event. We are also collaborating with downtown businesses, encouraging them to host special activities throughout the weekend to attract festivalgoers who wish to explore Bailey beyond the event site.
Absolutely! McGraw Park has always been a valued part of Bailey Days, and that will not change. Traditional activities hosted at the park will continue, and we are working closely with organizers to ensure a seamless connection between the festival and McGraw Park’s programming.
Accessibility has been a priority from the start. Several members of the Bailey Days Committee have family members with mobility challenges, and we are dedicated to making the event as inclusive as possible.
We are committed to making Bailey Days 2025 a safe, accessible, and enjoyable experience for all!
